Dr. Harr honored at Northwest Board meeting

Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regent, Dr. Pat Harr, was honored at the end of today's meeting for his six years of service to the board. Harr's term on the board concluded during today's meeting.

Harr says he's proud of what's been accomplished on the Northwest campus in the past six years.

"The work that's been done in retention and graduation is phenomenal.  The work being done to make college affordable for our students is really important.  We've only had one tuition increase in the time I've been on the board.  Watching the campus master plan being activated and the projects that are going on on campus that have been completed, like the Hughes and the upgrades to the dorms."

Following the meeting, University officials held a tree planting ceremony in front of the Horace Mann Laboratory School in honor of Harr. Harr has been affiliated with Northwest his entire life. His father was a professor on campus, he attended Horace Mann school and Northwest, and has been the long-time team doctor for the University Athletic Department.
